Meeting was called to order at 11:55am, Mike Kellar presiding
State of the Chapter Address
Jeff Liggett, High Alpha (President)
Jeff reported on a successful leadership seminar in Memphis where we picked up several awards including our 14th MacIntosh
The True Brother Initiative is in full-swing at Theta Lambda. They are currently on week three of the seven week process
Theta Lambda successfully recruited 10 members during formal rush. Plans are underway to continue the recruitment process and reach their goal of 23 by the end of the semester.
State of the Alumni Board Address
Charlie Chedester, Alumni Board Treasurer
Charlie welcomed all alumni back and thanked them for their growing interest in the chapter’s welfare
Charlie advised the alumni database is getting better but there will always be issues with getting the most current information
Alumni communication is also back on track. The Board currently issues three newsletters per year and is focused on providing as much advanced warning about upcoming events as possible.
Charlie noted that we are looking at possibly partnering with OmegaFi.com (our financial partner for the chapter) to strengthen our alumni communication/database program. More details will be known in the upcoming months

Charlie reported that we recently discovered a CD that belongs to the Alumni Board. The funds from this CD will continue to supply scholarship monies.
Charlie noted that a scholarship foundation fund raiser will be created and implemented soon. A group of alumni has already been formed and will be meeting outside the normal Board meeting times to discuss the process
Mike asked all alumni to stand, introduce themselves and the year they graduated. Dick Barker (Theta Lambda 248) was honored as the “smallest bond number”.
Mike reminded all alumni of the upcoming paintball tournament, fall party and initiation. More details will be announced shortly.
